Matthew 14:22-33
Jesus
Walks on the Water
28 “Lord,
if it’s you,” Peter replied, “tell me to come to you on the water.”
29 “Come,” He said.
Then
Peter got down out of the boat, walked on the water and came toward Jesus. 30 But when he saw the
wind, he was afraid and, beginning to sink, cried out, “Lord, save me!”
31 Immediately
Jesus reached out his hand and caught him. “You of
little faith, “he said, “Why did
you doubt?”
1.
Who know, what was the peter background? Do you
think he know how swim? Do you think
peter know how to driving/pedaling boat?
·
I think he knows everything as fisherman
·
He could swim for an hour and could rich Jesus
or boat
·
He could save his life his own without any help
·
He could trust in his own abilities, experience
and he could try
·
But
still he called to Jesus to help him out????
Why??? He asks to Jesus and requests Jesus to save him??
·
Because there was someone who bigger than peter experience,
bigger than peter abilities, Son of God! He is beyond his capacity, knowledge
and experience!
2.
Trouble will not stay longer if you cry out to Jesus
to help :
(1)
You may get in trouble, fall on temptation, but those
thing will not bothering you any more, Jesus will take you away from trouble. Even
you fail to trust him in second then realized and back to Him and trusting Him
He will save you.
3.
God wants to trust in Him for everything even
small or bigger near or far, within capacity beyond the capacity … for
everything He wants to trust Him and have a faith on Him. He will save you.
